Today it's all about how to keep your glue tips clear.
Now, quite often if you're using a small tip glue and you've put it in a bottle with a small tip, that tip will tend to plug up. Now, pushing a needle through and keeping it open that way is one way to do it.
But here is another really cool trick that you are absolutely going to love what you do. When you're finished with your glue, you set it down so all the glue will drain down.
Now, this may be contrary to what you're thinking before, but once you let the glue go down, you want to make sure that the glue is at the bottom of the bottle so when you go through the rest of the process the glue will not squirt out.
Now that the glue is at the bottom of the bottle, you want to gently push the top of the glue bottle (the part that has air only) and just keep pushing it until you hear it puff through the little spout or the little glue area, the tip.
Use the air part and just give it a couple of little pushes so you hear the air being expelled through your tip, and then that tip will remain clear. Now, if you take the lid off a little while later and you find that it is still a bit clogged, it will not be as jammed up as usual. Just take a pin from a safety pin or a pin from your sewing and push it through,
So just keep pushing, and once you hear it go clear, then you are ready to cap that glue and it will not clog up. So the big key here is let the glue drain to the bottom.
I know this sounds simple (and it is) but with this method, I rarely have to find a needle to open up the clog and you will have very little glue inside there so it won't clog up as it would if you had just put the lid on and trying to figure that out. So it's that little puff of air that really makes the difference.

HI. thank you for this tip; I knew there had to be a way! I really enjoy reading your posts; they are short and to the point. Very often, if I see a tip and it is very long, I will bypass it. I hope you keep sharing your extensive knowledge with us; it is appreciated. Janice
Game hanger, thank you very much. ❤️
Thanks Bette this is one of my biggest problems and your tip makes a lot of sense. I will be doing it from now on.
Txs for this tip. I will try it not time I use glue.
